Tips for good digestion

  • Chew well! Take time over meals
  • Drink water! Aim to drink eight 8oz glasses of water daily
  • Take drinks at room temperature
  • Avoid drinking with meals
  • Eat less processed and more whole food
  • Eat smaller portions of high quality food
  • Rotate your foods so that you have a varied diet
  • Eat food that is in season and locally grown
  • Eat organically grown food whenever possible
  • Avoid fizzy drinks and squash
  • Minimise the use of tea and coffee
  • Avoid chewing gum
  • Be relaxed whilst eating – enjoy meals
